MAX Faucets® Lifetime Limited Product Warranty

Effective for products purchased on or after January 11, 2020

At MAX Faucets®, we are committed to providing products that deliver long-lasting performance, reliability, and value. We proudly stand behind the quality of our products and offer this Lifetime Limited Warranty for eligible purchasers.

We are committed to delivering products that provide years of reliable performance. If a defect in materials or workmanship is discovered during the applicable warranty period, MAX Faucets® will work with you to provide a prompt and fair resolution in accordance with this warranty.

1. What This Warranty Covers

This Limited Warranty applies to MAX Faucets® products purchased from authorized retailers and installed within Canada or the United States.

This warranty covers:

  • Mechanical components and operating parts
  • Leak-free and drip-free performance under normal use
  • Products shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal installation, use, and service during the applicable warranty period

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and the original installation location.

Warranty coverage begins on the original date of purchase.

This warranty is non-transferable.

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear resulting from ordinary use of the product.

2. Warranty Duration by Application

Primary Residential Use – Lifetime Warranty

Lifetime coverage for mechanical components and product performance for the original homeowner.

Multi-Family Residential Use – 10-Year Warranty

For products installed in rental properties, condominiums, apartments, duplexes, and townhomes.

Commercial Applications – 5-Year Warranty

For products installed in offices, retail locations, restaurants, and other commercial environments.

Special Environments – 2-Year Warranty

For installations in hotels, airports, hospitals, clinics, schools, industrial facilities, and similar high-use environments.

3. Electronic Components Warranty

For products equipped with electronic components (excluding batteries):

  • Residential Use: 3 Years
  • Commercial Use: 1 Year

Batteries are not covered under this warranty.

4. Lifetime Cartridge Warranty

MAX Faucets® warrants the original faucet or shower valve cartridge against defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the original residential purchaser.

If a covered cartridge defect causes the product to leak, drip, or malfunction during normal residential use, MAX Faucets® will provide a replacement cartridge at no charge for the cartridge itself. Labor, installation, service, and related costs are not covered.

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and the original installation location.

This warranty does not cover cartridge issues resulting from:

  • Improper installation or maintenance
  • Freezing temperatures
  • Excessive water pressure or water hammer
  • Hard water, mineral buildup, sediment, or water quality conditions
  • Misuse, abuse, neglect, or accidental damage
  • Use of non-MAX Faucets® replacement parts
  • Commercial, industrial, institutional, or other non-residential applications beyond the warranty periods outlined in Section 2

MAX Faucets® reserves the right to inspect the cartridge or request photographs, videos, or additional information before approving a warranty claim.

Replacement cartridges supplied under this warranty may be equivalent replacements if the original cartridge model has been discontinued.

Because cartridges are critical to product performance, MAX Faucets® is committed to maintaining long-term support and parts availability for residential customers whenever reasonably possible.

5. What MAX Faucets® Will Do

If a defect covered by this warranty is confirmed, MAX Faucets® will, at its sole discretion:

  • Repair the defective part;
  • Replace the defective part; or
  • Provide a replacement product at no charge.

If repair or replacement is not reasonably available, MAX Faucets® may provide a refund of the original purchase price or offer a comparable replacement product.

Replacement products may differ in color, finish, design, or features if the original product has been discontinued or is no longer available.

Replacement parts or products provided under this warranty do not extend, renew, or restart the original warranty period.

Warranty determinations will be made according to MAX Faucets® inspection and testing procedures.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the remedies provided under this warranty are the sole and exclusive remedies available to the purchaser for any covered warranty claim.

6. What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • Labor charges for installation, removal, replacement, diagnosis, or repair
  • Shipping, transportation, or travel expenses associated with warranty service
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, impact, or improper maintenance
  • Damage caused by improper installation, improper plumbing connections, or failure to follow installation instructions
  • Outdoor installations unless the product is specifically designated for outdoor use
  • Damage resulting from freezing temperatures, excessive water pressure, water hammer, water quality issues, mineral buildup, sediment, or harsh water conditions
  • Damage caused by water conditions including excessive sediment, mineral buildup, hard water, corrosion, water treatment chemicals, or other water quality issues beyond the control of MAX Faucets®
  • Damage caused by the use of abrasive cleaners, bleach, ammonia, alcohol, acids, harsh chemicals, abrasive cloths, scrub pads, steel wool, brushes, or similar cleaning products
  • Products purchased from unauthorized sellers or resellers
  • Damage caused by the use of non-MAX Faucets® replacement parts
  • Normal wear and tear resulting from ordinary use
  • Cosmetic damage occurring after installation that does not affect product functionality
  • Variations in finish appearance resulting from lighting, photography, screen displays, or natural aging

Normal Maintenance Components

Certain components, including O-rings, seals, aerators, hoses, diverters, check valves, and similar wear items, may require periodic maintenance or replacement through normal use. Such maintenance is not considered a manufacturing defect unless otherwise determined by MAX Faucets®.

Unauthorized Repairs and Modifications

This warranty does not cover failures caused by unauthorized modifications, repairs, alterations, misuse, or the installation of non-approved replacement parts.

Warranty coverage may be denied where unauthorized modifications or repairs contributed to the failure being claimed.

For best performance, MAX Faucets® recommends professional installation and the use of genuine MAX Faucets® replacement parts.

7. How to Request Warranty Service

Please provide:

  • Product model number
  • Date of purchase
  • Date of installation
  • Full name on the order
  • Detailed description of the issue
  • Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation)

Warranty claims should be submitted within a reasonable time after the issue is discovered.

MAX Faucets® reserves the right to request photographs, videos, return of the product, or additional information to evaluate warranty claims.

MAX Faucets® reserves the right to inspect an allegedly defective product, request photographs or videos, or require return of the product or component for evaluation. Return shipping costs may be the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise required by applicable law.

If proof of purchase is unavailable, MAX Faucets® may use the product manufacturing date or other available information to determine warranty eligibility.

8. Additional Information and Legal Notice

This warranty is valid only within Canada and the United States.

Some provinces, states, or territories do not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion of certain damages. Therefore, some limitations or exclusions contained in this warranty may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have additional rights that vary by jurisdiction.

No Other Warranties

Except as expressly stated in this warranty and except where prohibited by applicable law, MAX Faucets® makes no other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MAX Faucets® shall not be liable for incidental, indirect, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from the use of the product, including but not limited to property damage, loss of use, loss of time, inconvenience, water damage, or installation-related expenses.

In no event shall the total liability of MAX Faucets® exceed the original purchase price of the product.

Force Majeure

MAX Faucets® shall not be responsible for delays in warranty service caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, transportation interruptions, labor disruptions, governmental actions, pandemics, or supply chain shortages.

9. Lifetime Finish Warranty

MAX Faucets® warrants that its factory-applied finishes, including matte black, brushed gold, shiny gold, chrome, brushed nickel, and other MAX Faucets® finishes, will be free from manufacturing defects including:

  • Peeling
  • Flaking
  • Corrosion
  • Defects in finish application

This warranty applies for the lifetime of the original homeowner under normal residential use.

This warranty covers manufacturing defects in the finish and does not guarantee that finishes will remain unchanged over time due to normal environmental exposure and aging.

Finish Warranty Conditions

To maintain warranty coverage, finishes must be cleaned only with:

  • Soft cloths
  • Warm water
  • Mild non-abrasive soap when necessary

The finish warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

  • Abrasive pads, steel wool, scrub brushes, or abrasive cleaning tools
  • Cleaners containing bleach, ammonia, alcohol, acids, harsh chemicals
  • Bathroom sprays, glass cleaners, disinfectants, or harsh descaling products
  • Improper cleaning methods or maintenance
  • Scratches, dents, impact damage, water spotting, mineral deposits, or cosmetic wear resulting from normal use

MAX Faucets® reserves the right to inspect any product before approving a finish-related warranty claim.
